Refund & Returns Policy
Every PROTOTOKOS piece is made to order. We do not hold finished inventory — when you place an order, the garment is produced for you. Our return policy reflects that reality: we cover defects, damage, and our errors without question. We are more limited on returns for change of mind.
The 30-day window
You have 30 days from the delivery date marked by the carrier to request a return, exchange, or replacement. Requests received after 30 days cannot be honored.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
If the piece arrived damaged, has a print defect, or you received the wrong item, we will replace it at no cost. You do not need to return the damaged item. Email hello@prototokos.com within the 30-day window with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We respond within 2 business days. Replacements ship as soon as production confirms.
Sizing exchanges
If a piece does not fit, you may exchange it for a different size of the same item within the 30-day window, provided the piece is unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached. You cover return shipping. We cover the production and shipping of the replacement.
Please consult the size guide on the product page before ordering. Heavyweight cotton runs true to size with a relaxed silhouette.
Change-of-mind returns
Because each piece is produced individually for your order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. We encourage you to read the product description, fabric weight, and size guide before placing the order.
Items that cannot be returned
- Final-sale items, marked as such at checkout
- Gift cards
- Pieces purchased more than 30 days ago
- Pieces returned worn, washed, or without tags
- Customized or personalized pieces (unless defective)
Refund timing
Approved refunds post to your original payment method within 5–10 business days after we receive the returned piece (for sizing exchanges) or after the claim is approved (for damage and defect cases). Your bank may take additional time to display the credit.
How to start a return
Email hello@prototokos.com with the subject line Return — [Order Number] and include:
- Your order number
- Reason for return (damage, defect, sizing exchange)
- Photos of the piece if damage or defect is the reason
- For sizing exchanges, the size you would like to receive
We respond within 2 business days with next steps and, if applicable, the return shipping address.
